Yeast Deletion Plate Identification Key Each full plate has 2 empty wells (media only-no deletion) to designate background and plate number. Empty wells in row H indicate strain background. STRAIN EMPTY WELL PLATE NUMBERS Homozygous Diploid H1 300-399 Mat a H2 1-99 Mat alpha H3 101-199 Heterozygous H4 201-299 Heterozygous Diploid B isolate H5 401-499 Plate number is indicated by the other empty well. Beginning with A1, a sequential well has been left empty to indicate the plate number. Example: Plate 401 has empty wells in H5 and A1 Plate 301 has empty wells in H1 and A1 Plate 336 has empty wells in H1 and C12 Plate 236 has empty wells in H4 and C12 Please note that in this release plates the following plates are not full and therefore the empty wells are not easily distinguished: 337, 371, 380, 408, 480 Note also that the data file contains data for wells with deletions only. Identification wells are omitted as they contain no data. Plates numbered in the 70's for any strain have special growth needs and have been grown in YPD with G418 and 50um riboflavin. Glycerol at 15% was added after growth. (plates 370 & 371) Plates numbered in the 80's for any strain contain deletions that have failed quality control standards. (plates 380 & 480)
