Protein phosphatase required for mitotic exit; located in the nucleolus until liberated by the FEAR and Mitotic Exit Network in anaphase, enabling it to act on key substrates to effect a decrease in CDK/B-cyclin activity and mitotic exit; required for meiosis I spindle disassembly; released from nucleolus upon entry into anaphase I of meiosis, resequestered in metaphase II, then released again upon entry into anaphase II; maintained in nucleolus by Cdc55p in early meiosis
