Shutting down ACCESS robot software

1. The preferred way

Zoom

1. Pause all runs on yeast grower
2. Shows the time remaining on the cycle. Before performing any actions, wait until all readers have finished their cycle (max 15 min)
3. When all runs have stopped, press button “close yeast_grower”
Screen comes up with the message: "do you really want to close down Yeast_Grower" , click Continue
Wait until all reader status buttons have greyed out indicating that the connections to the readers have closed and close the main interface window.
If restarting the software ensure to continue the runs on all readers, because there may be multiple experiments running in parallel!

2. The last resort

When the program is not responsive, go to Windows Task Manager (ctr_alt_del)
Select Yeast_Grower and end task.
You may have to do this more than once!
Wait until all the readers are at rest (15 minutes)
Restart Yeast_Grower
Click Contin_Run on the readers that were running before the stall.

If the procedure above does not work, proceed to shutdown, restart the PC, restart Yeast_Grower and continue runs that were in progress
